Tia's Aniversary Jan. 1st.

This is for our sweet little Sweep Pea Tia Maria Toy and her Popkorn Oscar. They are a love story. Tia comes from The Steinbach Puppy Mill. Where she was abused by man and fellow animals. Only to be taken to another home in the city, where he was abused by man and some more animals. Then going into a loving home, but a very active one with 4 handy capped children, who didn't mean to frighten poor Tia. With all their playful noises and yelling. It is our Aniversary Jan.1st. It will be 16 years since we got her Her Birthday is April. 1, 1992, she was 8 months old when we got her. 8 months in Dog time is already getting older. What I am trying to say is 8 months of abuse is a long time. In Tia case it was her whole so far. She was so sad when we got her I never thought we could make her happy. And to tell you the truth I don't think it would have been as easily done or as well done without my PopKorn Oscar. He was in love at 1st sight. He made me Proud, he gave her a welcome I couldn't believe. He gave her his bed, he gave her his toys, he gave her his food, but he also gave her his "Heart".

Would you take a puppy from a Puppy Mill

I am glad I am not flying, the airports have been nuts. It is nice to stay close to home. Less stress. Enough with stress. If we listen to the news, it keeps telling us how bad we got it and how bad we feel. Spare me; they do not have a clue about me. It is true things have not gone well in 2008, I lost my Seasonal Job after 12 years; I was downsized, thanks to my friendly computer and programs. Little does my work at Lifetouch know I would have done the work free. I need money like anyone else I have to eat. However, there are so many things that money cannot be bought. Like my poor Mother has a brain tumour, she is 82 yrs. young. But lass she is not the Mum I know and love. They cannot do anything for her. She has a bad heart, as well. She had a triple stint. I lost 3 friends this year. Cancer, cancer, cancer it runs wild in people my age. My poor little dogs are dieing of old age. I wish I could money could fix them. However, the important things in life are priceless. I hurt my back, I have to caring for my Tia outside, she is cripple now. She is a little big for me and awkward; I have to carry her outside. One day last week, I shipped and twisted my lower back last week. I have to work this out somehow. The poor thing needs me. In spite of her problems, she is very happy and I do not mind helping her I just wish I could do a better job. I can never forget that the poor thing was badly abused as a puppy; she was born in a Puppy Mill. She was separated from her mother too soon she was shaved a lot. She was hit, punched and kicked. Her poor little bones did not develop right. She has Spinal Defects. Now her back legs pretty do not listen to her very well. However, she is determined, she exercises almost everyday, In addition, I give her rubs, which she loves. It depends on the Weather how good or bad she feels. Nevertheless, she is happy. My living room is a Puppy Play Pin. However, they brake out. I do not have a real gate, just lines I tell them not to cross. They listen when they want. Use I mean Business, they can tell by my tone. They do have minds of their own. I think it so cute. I love my little puppies. They have been my Best Fiends foot 16 & 17 years now. I feel very Blessed. Jan. 1st is Tia's 16th Anniversary with us. She gets to lick Champaign off John's finger a couple of times. That is his puppy; sometimes I feel I am nothing less then her care give and Protector. She runs to me whenever John plays with her. My Friends want me to go to a Blues Jam. I know it is going to be good, but I really want to be with Tia, it is her day. To be honest I do not think we have another one. Therefore, I do not want to miss this one. She is a Party Animal. I get her dancing and singing. She is a lot of fun, as for him well he always plays along. I am so glad we could help her out of the awful life she had, but I know he helped her the most. She always followed his lead. They really are well behaved. His is happy everyday. I picked him out myself. He is a rejected show dog, because he was born with an extra toe and his line on his for head is not straight. He will always be a show dog too me. He trauts like a little pony holding his head high with the tail going. I am very proud of him. As he has his problems as well, it is his heart, his kidneys and his eyes. Nevertheless, you won’t know it he is very happy. Mind you he gets lost sometimes he will walk into a wall. Or he gets himself stuck in a corner; I have to laugh a little, while I go to help him. Tia always took 1st place too him. It was love at 1st hello. I knew I had to get her for him he was lonely. He was trying to Court the little Shih Tzu down the street. That is a Romeo & Juliet story, so cute. His 1st years with us he took off on me and went sat in front of her house for almost 2 hours, at -41, good thing he was behind some bushes. Bad for us we didn't see him. We went to the back door not thinking of the front door. The next year we got him Tia and he never left home again, except for time he took Tia to the park to play, by himself. We had not taken them to the park that day and they wanted to go clearly. We thought is was cute really, just a bit scary, they had too cross 2 streets, but they were well trained in some ways. They know how to crossthe street safely. I think they may have been a little to smart some times. I have tones of funny stories.
